I never would have guessed that after a huge run that Angie Martinez would ever quit Hot 97.1, BUT, yesterday she did. At first I thought maybe she's quitting to be a stay at home mom, or to look into other avenues, well this morning it's being reported that Angie is moving to 105.1. OUCH EBRO!!!

"Speculation began IMMEDIATELY about her next venture. Thursday morning, just 24 hours after her departure, even more radio news was shared. Angie will stay on radio, but at a competitive radio station, Power 105. The Breakfast Club hosts (DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne the God) confirmed the news and said that she’d be moving to the afternoon slot (similar to Hot 97) from 2 p.m. — 6 p.m. Since Power 105 is syndicated, Angie will be heard in New York and The Beat in Miami."
Isn't it funny how 'The Breakfast Club' announced this, knowing these two stations have been rivaling for so long it's kind of weird that Angie would jump ship and join that team. Shade, Shade, Shade!!!
I guess Angie went with where the money was at. Power move or no??

ANGIE JUMPS SHIP FOR POWER 105.1
