The stars were out last night as talent, and accomplishment soured through our television screens for the BET Honors 2013. As a black woman and for other little girls around America it is important that these shows get televised to show us that the African American dream is not lost. Black is beautiful, and it is an honor to watch people like T.D Jakes, Lisa Leslie, Halle Berry, Chaka Khan, and Clarence Avant get their recognition.
