Is it offensive to say the Lord's name in vain when being funny? It looks like Jamie Foxx maybe paying for his comments about Barack Obama at "The Soul Train Awards". At this years Soul Train Awards Jamie stated the below concerning Obama:
”It’s like church in here. First of all, give an honor to God and our Lord and Savior Barack Obama.”
Of course at the time, I'm sure people were chuckling but was it offensive?
With matters of religion and government we all know they are touchy conversations, so as a comedian Jamie should have been more careful about what his comments may have been interpretted as but was it done with harmful intent; probably not. I hope they don't sign a petition !
