Sometimes you are in so much anticipation of seeing a sequel to the movies you love, and the second part is never as good as the first. This time I was wrong in my guess. 'Best Man: Holiday' was the best possible sequel I have ever seen, and it left you falling more in love with the characters, and boohooing more than in the first movie. This past weekend was not a let down for this cast as well because the movie did amazingly well in theatres.
"According to Fox, the film opened strongly with $30.6 million. “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” led the box office for several weeks in August, leading to a cumulative total of $115.5 million domestically. ”12 Years a Slave” has made $25 million in five weeks of limited release. Reportedly, “The Best Man Holiday” was the only new wide-release opening over the weekend, as the marketplace clears out for the release of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” Check out some domestic figures, as of late Sunday evening.
The promotion for this movie has also been amazing as the actors have done many interviews and some surprise appearances. Check out my love Morris Chestnut surprising fans in Atlanta this past weekend.
