I'm sure nobody would imagine that when the movie Fruitvale Station was released that we would be dealing with the release of George Zimmerman after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin. The Forrest Whitaker produced film stars Michael B. Jordan reenacting Oscar Grant, who was shot and killed in 2009 by Transit Station officer in Oakland New Year's Eve. The film shows this guy living out his final hours on New Year's Eve before he was shot and killed. Talk about deep. I think everyone who has a son, daughter, or who is African American should support this film. It definitely will keep the conversation going on how we as a people can continue to stop our brothers and sisters from being killed. The movie comes out Friday July 26th, 2013.
