Nobody knew pants sagging better than Chris Kelly from the group “Kris Kross” better known for the song "Jump, Jump" who was Jermaine Dupri's 1990's rap act. We hadn’t heard much about Chris in some years since his participation in Jermaine Dupri’s SoSo def reunion concert, but yesterday it was announced that Chris 34, had passed. According to Fulton County Medical Examiner, he was found unresponsive at his home and was announced dead shortly after 8p. Nobody really knew the story of what happened yesterday but an autopsy is being conducted this morning. Rumors have it that it may have been a drug overdose.
Chris’s mother made the following statement:
It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Chris Kelly has passed away on May 1. To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trendsetting, backwards pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris – the kind, generous and fun-loving life of the party. Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him. His legacy will live on through his music, and we will forever love him.” Donna Kelly Pratte (mother) & The So So Def Family
