JAY-Z WILL ALWAYS BE A BROOKLYN NET

Once you have been the first Black President of the United States you will always be that in our eyes. We will never forget the experience, or that joy that once was when Obama’s term is over in four years. I can say the same goes for Jay-Z. To have grown up poor in Brooklyn and end up being part owner of the “Brooklyn Nets” and helping to spearhead a stable center that will forever be Brooklyn called the Barclays Center is truly classic. Every boss knows when there time is up, and knows the right moves that will take their careers to the next level. Jay-Z has decided to give up his share of the Brooklyn Nets. That does not mean we will ever forget this, or that he is not still a boss however  Jay-Z is moving onto plans to become a certified agent. I hear that! Jay-Z launched Rock Nation Sports and is already signing some great talents such as Robinson Cano, and Victor Cruz. Keep pushing Jay; we will never forget how you made us feel that anything, anything is possible.

Jay -Z explains his decision below:

Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever…
The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today’s top music artists. For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. It was a tough decision but as I stated earlier, it’s not about ownership. Congratulations to The Nets on a great season and making the playoffs! I will always be a Brooklyn Net.
