BEY AND JAY TRY TO TRADEMARK BLU IVY

Thats' our name! That's what Beyonce and Jay-Z would sound like if they could I bet. According to Global Grind, "Beyonce and Jay-Z have apparently been trying to trademark their daughter's name so that Beyonce could create a baby clothing line under the name.  However, it would seem the name "Blue Ivy" has already been trademarked by another company.
Blue Ivy Events, which is an event planning company working out of Boston, was established back in 2009, and their use of the name is preventing Jay and Bey from being able to use their daughter's name for their own business escapades.  Veronica Alexandra, the owner of Blue Ivy Events, managed to defend her company's name from being used by any other outside party.
A Fox News affiliate from Boston released the following statement regarding the trademarking of the "Blue Ivy" name:
"The ruling means the Carters have no legal rights to keep the name to themselves.
There appears to be no hard feelings between the parties. In fact, the Blue Ivy Events website features a picture of hip hop's royal couple along with a message that reads, 'Congrats to our soul mate couple with baby Blue Ivy.'"
